Thursday Thirteen: Favorite Implements of Seduction

Ah, seduction. Without it a romance isn't a romance. But as we know, seduction can take many forms and for this Thursday blog post, I thought I'd consider some of my favorite toys to include in love/sex scenes in an erotic romance.

1.    Hand.

Admit it. There's nothing sexier than the large hand of a sexy man. The way a man grasps an arm...a waist...a breast...or an ass. It's just hot. And when he applies that large palm to an upturned ass for a hot spanking? I mean what could be better than that?

2.    Paddle.
In keeping with the motif of a hot spanking, never underestimate the effectiveness of black leather paddle. The loud slap. The sting.

3.    Cuffs.

What's hotter than a submissive tied up and at the mercy of a sexy dominant? Yeah, exactly. Nothing. I love to use bondage in a scene when I'm writing. Leather cuffs. Metal handcuffs. Whatever it takes to restrain the submissive helps make a scene super hot.

4.  Butt Plug

Some of the hottest scenes I've read by other authors have involved butt plugs. The intimacy of the dominant sliding a butt plug into the willing ass of a submissive makes for a seriously hot read.

5.    Vibrator.


What's hot about a vibrator? What's not? Imagine a dominant applying the buzz to various body parts (clit, nipple, cunt or cock) while the bound sub cries out in pleasure, begging for more. Eventually the submissive screams for the buzzing to stop...and yet it doesn't. Forced orgasms. Climax after climax. Pain and pleasure merge into the ultimate mind fuck.

6.    Rope.

Another kind of bondage. Cuffs have their place, but rope can be used all over a body. Rope bondage is a special kind of hot. It can be used to increase the intimacy between dominant and submissive. It can also be an art form. That's school.

7.    Mouth.

Whether with a kiss, a lick, or a brush, a mouth is one of the sexiest toys around. Better yet, it's portable and always available. The mouth is also a conduit for the voice. Whispers. Commands. Husky. Whimpers and groans of pleasure. The possibilities are limitless.

8.    Spanking Bench.

A spanking bench isn't necessary, but it's a fun addition to any scene. It allows a dominant to have the submissive bent over for a hot spanking. The submissive can be bound to the bench too. Possible scenarios are only limited to the dominant's imagination.

9.    Food.

One of the sexiest scenes in 9 1/2 Weeks was the food scene in the kitchen. Elizabeth is blindfolded and John feeds her. Sticky. Spicy. Wet. Gooey. Talk about hot. Food stimulates the appetite...all appetites.

10.  Candles.

Candles provide subdued lighting to set an intimate mood. In addition, candles provide melted wax for sexy scenes involving drips of hot wax on sensitive skin. To get wild and crazy, add a little fire play to the mix to create a hint of danger.

11.  St. Andrews Cross.

Another alternative for bondage possibilities. Of course, the submissive could just stand against it and hold on, but combining rope with the cross adds to the mental intensity of the scene. The submissive feels helpless in a delicious way. They are able to really give themselves up to their dominant for an intensely hot scene.
 

12.  Ball gag.


Sometimes a scene is hotter when a submissive begs loud and long. But sometimes, a ball gag can be added to help the submissive immerse themselves even deeper into their own submission.

13.  Brain.

Okay, it doesn't LOOK sexy, but it is the most imperative part of a hot scene. Tease the brain and the body will follow. The dominant uses the brain to plan the scene out and to tease the submissive's wild imagination.

My mother. She was tough and uncompromising, yet she deeply loved my father. As a loving dominant, she was supportive of my father's role as submissive while encouraging him to be everything he could be. I hope I'm that kind of husband and dominant to Mouse.

She looked beyond Mouse and smiled. “Perfect. He’s right on time for once.”

“He who?”

“Torin.”

“Oh my God…” Mouse shivered and ducked her head, adjusting her mask to make sure her face was completely covered.

Mistress Zarah surveyed her. “Oh, now that’s just not fair. I bet you creamed your panties, didn’t you?”

“Mistress, could you please keep your voice down?” Mouse hissed, heat filling her cheeks.

Zarah chuckled. “Oh, I don’t think so. But for your sake, I suggest you don’t speak much when he comes over here or he might recognize your voice.” She turned her head to look behind Mouse. “Ah, Torin. How are you, dear?”

He came around Mouse and gave Zarah a brief hug and a kiss on the cheek. “Well enough, considering.”

“It’s such a loss. We’ll miss Regine terribly, you know that, don’t you?”

“I do. Thank you.” Torin turned and looked Mouse over from head to toe. “Very nice. Is she yours?”

“No, darling. A guest who wants to explore the dark side.”

“As a submissive or is she a Domme in training?”

“Submissive.”

Tor turned the full force of his gaze on her. Their eyes met briefly before she dropped her gaze to his shoes. Please let him not recognize her. Please.

“Yes, definitely a submissive,” he purred. He lifted his hand and paused, glancing at Zarah. “May I?”

“The choice is hers.”

“Do you have a name?” He asked, brushing a strand of hair off her forehead. Normally, she kept her bushy hair pinned severely back, but the letter that arrived with the clothes ordered her to let it fall around her face naturally.

She glanced at Mistress Zarah, begging for help. Zarah smiled. “Her name is Minnie.”

“Minnie? Unusual.”

“That’s her name tonight. Who knows? Her name tomorrow might be Mickey.”

Mouse glared at Zarah, who just laughed.

“Do you want to play with me, Minnie?”

Mouse’s eyes flew to Tor’s. Did he know? Surely not. And what the hell did he mean by play?

“Play?” she squeaked. Damn it. Why did she always have to squeak like a mouse when she was anxious? At least Tor was unfamiliar with her nervous habit because by the time they’d met, Regine had worked the squeak right out of her.

He chuckled, his fingers trailed along the bare skin of her arm from her shoulder to her wrist. Gently, he encircled her wrist and rubbed the vulnerable skin there with his forefinger.

“Yes, Miss Squeak. Play. That means you and I go someplace private and I give you a spanking you’ll never forget. A spanking that will have you begging for more.”

Mouse couldn’t catch her breath as he lightly ran his fingertips up to her elbow. He leaned close and brushed his lips along the edge of her ear. She jerked when his tongue flicked against her lobe.

“Sensitive, aren’t you?” he murmured.

“Yes.”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Oh sorry. Yes, Sir.” Her voice was barely a whisper.

He chuckled in her ear. His hand moved from her elbow to her waist while he tormented her by trailing the fingers of his other hand from her wrist to her shoulder. Then he brushed a finger along her shoulder and up along her neck. Mouse couldn’t stop the shiver that coursed through her at his touch.

“You haven’t answered my question. Would you like to play with me?”

She closed her eyes at his purr. God, she wanted him. But what was she letting herself in for if she agreed to this? She opened her eyes and she saw Mistress Zarah grinning at her.

“The choice is yours. What do you want?”

I loved the music of the Eagles. I grew up with it and it has stayed with me. It was truly sad to hear of the passing of the great Glenn Frey. I loved his music both with the Eagles and as a solo artist.

David Bowie - Gone but never forgotten

On Sunday, the world lost an amazing musician. A world changer and true rebel...David Bowie. I wasn't a huge fan back in the 1970s because glam rock didn't do much for me. But I really loved the music he made in the 80s and beyond.

For me Bowie got more attractive attractive as he got older and one of my favorite songs, both disturbing and sensual, was from the movie Labyrinth, As the World Falls Down.
